How pet ability bonuses stack
Pet abilities in Grow a Garden get stronger in two ways: the pet’s own age, and flat percentage bonuses from its mutation, a Safari buff and toys. The percentage bonuses add together into one boost, which then multiplies the ability’s value.

Example: a Rainbow pet (+20%) with a Lion buff (+10%) and a Large toy (+30%) has a +60% boost, so an ability value of 10 becomes 16.
Reading your pet’s card
Every pet card shows the ability’s current numbers. To use the exact-value part of the calculator, note the value at age 1 (or ask a friend with a fresh pet) and how much it rises per age. Pets that don’t list numbers can still be compared by their total boost.

Frequently asked questions
How do pet mutations affect abilities?
Each pet mutation adds a percentage bonus to ability strength — for example Golden +10%, Rainbow +20% and Venom or Hyperhunger +30%. Bonuses from mutations, Safari buffs and toys add together.
Does age make abilities stronger?
Yes. Most abilities improve a little with every age level, which is why leveling pets to age 50–100 matters.
Where do I find my pet’s ability numbers?
Open the pet in-game. Its card shows the ability, the current value and the cooldown.
